Special 100th Anniversary Dinner Honoring Veterans of All Wars
November 11, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

In the spring of 1915, Canadian LTC John McCrae was inspired by the sight of poppies growing in battle-scarred fields to write the famous poem ‘In Flanders Fields’. After the War, the poppy was adopted as a symbol of Remembrance.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11, 2018 at Dino’s Capri Restaurant.
Veterans Day, was originally called Armistice Day, but was changed to Veterans Day in 1954 by President Eisenhower. It is held on November 11 in remembrance of the Armistice that ended the First World War on “The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month” in 1918. Thus, Veterans Day 2018 celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I. That makes this a very special Veterans Day.
