Salute To Former Chief Justice Burley Mitchell
Angus Barn – Pavilion 9401 Glenwood, RaleighJustice Burley Mitchell retired as the Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court in 1999 to head Womble Carlyle’s appellate advocacy and government relations groups. As a judge, he authored 484 appellate and Supreme Court decisions including the landmark Leandro v. State of North Carolina case regarding educational opportunities for all North Carolina children.
