VLC Executive Director John Turner receives the Daughters of the American Revolution Medal of Honor award from Lisa Wooten, Regent of Asbury Station Chapter DAR and Peggy Troxell, Past Vice President General, NSDAR.

On March 28, 2019, VLC Executive Director John Turner received the Daughters of the American Revolution Medal of Honor, the highest award offered by that national patriotic organization. Recipients must have demonstrated extraordinary qualities of leadership, trustworthiness, service and patriotism,” and have made “unusual and lasting contributions to our American Heritage by truly giving of himself to his or her community, state, country, and fellowman.”
